John May celebrates his 40th anniversary since 'first flight'

John May Celebrating his 40th Flying Anniversary

John's first flight in 1969 was in a Piper Cherokee 140B registration ZS-FTX. It took place at Cradock in the Cape Province, South Africa at an elevation of 3,000ft and with an air temperature about 20C, taking off from a sand runway in CAVOK visibility, a long way from Bernam River in 2009, forty years later!
